Hear from exhibitors about their experience in solving different development challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We welcome you if you are a forward-thinking farmer, a service provider (including in digitalisation and artificial intelligence), an advisor, an official, a student, or a representative of an educational or research institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The goal of the Innovation Area is to be a platform for dialogue between different parties. To that end, we offer ideas and experience stories from companies, information from researchers, showcase examples of cooperation between entrepreneurs and researchers, share information on funding opportunities, provide advice, and create opportunities for companies and researchers from different fields to connect with one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In every topic block, farmers will find an answer to the question: &#8220;What can I do differently tomorrow to achieve more with less?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Innovation Area takes place on 14\u201315 October 2026 in Tartu, in the ERM library hall. Taking part in the seminars is free of charge, but advance registration is required by 11 October 2026 (inclusive). Tickets will be emailed to online registrants a few days before the exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Daily themes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">14 October \u2014 &#8220;Profitability, climate risks and smarter production decisions&#8221; Goal: to give farmers ideas \u2014 from researchers and from fellow farmers \u2014 on what decisions to make when facing a difficult economic and policy environment and poor weather. The day&#8217;s moderator is Airi K\u00fclvet, Puutsa Farm, &#8220;Farmer of the Year 2023&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme includes presentations and discussions on topics such as the global and European economic outlook, the current state and 2027 outlook for Estonian agriculture, climate and production risks in crop and livestock farming, soil as a company&#8217;s fixed asset, and which crops are becoming more important as climate risks grow. The day closes with a look at practical AI-assistant solutions built by farmers, followed at 15:35\u201317:00 by the agricultural-digitalisation AIRE club panel discussion and networking event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">15 October \u2014 &#8220;Data, technology and a digital plan&#8221; Goal: to help companies improve their data management, share information on funding, and discuss cooperation opportunities with entrepreneurs and researchers. The day&#8217;s moderator is &#8220;Farmer T\u00f5nis&#8221; \/ T\u00f5nis Soopalu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme includes presentations on the obstacles to digitalisation and possible solutions, on data flowing to and from PRIA, experience stories on companies&#8217; data digitalisation projects, PRIA&#8217;s funding for innovation, and first experiences with field robots and agricultural drones. There will also be discussion of cooperation on animal health data and dairy-farm automation, along with practical AI-assistant solutions built by farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Exhibition area<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year the Innovation Area brings together public-sector research and innovation partners, some of whom have also involved companies that took part in their projects. Participants include METK, the Tartu Biotechnology Park \/ EIT Food, the Estonian University of Life Sciences (EM\u00dc), AIRE, Adapter, and the \/\/kood technology school.
