Mini-Crop Growing Competition: A Practice for Independent Production

This seminar-conference presents the experiences of the Estonian University of Life Sciences’ mini-crop growing competition and discusses its role in preparing future specialists. Participants will gain an overview of this year’s competition, team experiences, achievements, and challenges, as well as the practical knowledge and skills developed through the contest.

An alumnus from a previous year will also share their experience, discussing the knowledge and skills gained from the competition and how these have supported their further studies or professional life. Additionally, a brief overview of AI applications in crop production will be provided, followed by a discussion on how to better integrate these topics into future curricula.

The seminar concludes with a discussion on modernising the agricultural curriculum, with contributions welcomed from producers, lecturers, and students alike.
